Project Summary 

The purpose of the CCTI (College and Career Transitions Initiative) grant is to target high school students who want to pursue careers in allied health or nursing. Through dual enrollment MDC will create a learning community designed to provide students with the academic and support services necessary to effectively succeed as a dual enrollment student taking the required pre-requisite courses towards an allied health or nursing career. MDC and our partners Baptist Health South Florida, and Felix Varela High School, are committed to providing a well-coordinated effort to successfully transition students from their senior year of high school straight into an Associate in Science program in a health career at Miami Dade College, Medical Center Campus.
